YHSO retreat to feature Ft. Wayne Phil’s Andrew Constantine

Youth Honors Symphony Orchestra members will participate in a half-day orchestral workshop with members of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic on Sunday, February 2 in the Goshen College Music Center.

YHSO Artistic Director and Conductor Mr. Josh Aerie will facilitate the workshop, which will focus on the topic, “Listening to the Middle”.  Maestro Andrew Constantine, Fort Wayne Philharmonic Music Director will be a special guest artist for the afternoon workshop, along with a Fort Wayne Philharmonic string quartet.  Orchestra members and guests meet for lunch at 12:45 p.m.

Schedule:

  • 12:45 p.m. – YHSO members and guests meet for lunch and the following sessions are open to the public:
  • 1:45-2:30 p.m. – Session 1 Andrew Constantine, FWP String Quartet, YHSO and Josh Aerie
  • 2:45-3:45 p.m.  – Session 2 Andrew Constantine leading the orchestra
  • 3:45-4:00 p.m. – Wrap-up discussion with Andrew Constantine, FWP String Quartet, YHSO and Josh Aerie
