The Rejoice, Shout for Joy, and Sommo Voci choirs have had an outstanding year both in terms of the number of students who are enrolled in each choir and in terms of the commitment, enthusiasm, and effort the singers display in rehearsals each week! This season, both the Rejoice and Shout for Joy Choirs have been grateful to have CSA choral program alumni serve as their Goshen College student assistants: Alina Brill Bergstresser has worked with Rejoice and Aysia Adkins has worked with Shout for Joy.

The CSA Spring Choral Showcase will take place on Wednesday, April 29th at 7:00 p.m. in Sauder Hall. The performance will feature our 3 choirs, made up of singers ranging from 3rd through 12th grade, and will include a wide variety of sacred, secular, and contemporary repertoire. We have also invited some family and CSA choir alumni to provide instrumental accompaniment for the choirs at this performance!

Unique to our Spring concert will be a special time of recognizing singers who are graduating out of each ensemble this year, along with singers who have achieved 3, 6, or 10-year consecutive participation awards.  The performance will culminate with a combined choir performance of “Sisi Ni Moja” (“We are one”) led by conductor Marcia Yost.  Family and friends in rising grades 3-12 who would like to audition for one of the CSA choirs for the 2026-2027 season will have a special early bird opportunity to audition at our “step up night” happening on Thursday, April 30th from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the Music Center.  No preparation is needed, and we look forward to meeting many new singers then.

We hope to see you at our upcoming showcase!
