Chamber Music at the CSA

The Community School of the Arts has been excited to partner with the Fischoff National Chamber Music Association Academy for the past three years to offer our precollege students the unique opportunity to learn and perform chamber music together. The Goshen Trio has performed in South Bend as well as Goshen, coached by CSA faculty member, Dr. Luke Norell. Last year’s trio was made up of violinists Lucca Kauffman and Julia Koch, and pianist Anton Alstrom. A new group has formed for 2023-24, made up of returning member Anton Alstrom, as well as violinist Audriana Stanley and violist Theresa Fussner.

CSA Senior Recitals

Representing some of the CSA’s most dedicated musicians, three young artists prepared individual high school senior recital performances this past summer. Violinists Lucca Kauffman (student of Hillary Harder) and Julia Koch (student of Solomia Soroka), and pianist Elsa Lund (student of Luke Norell) prepared performances at Rieth Recital Hall to enthusiastic audiences as part of their graduation celebrations. These students demonstrate great focus and perseverance through many years of preparation with their teachers, and we applaud this accomplishment of giving an extended solo performance as a capstone of their study at the CSA!
