Allegro Strings students rehearse at the Music Center.

Students in the CSA Suzuki program are busy preparing for the Suzuki / Allegro Play-In to wrap up the Fall 2022 semester! The Play-In will take place on Monday, December 12 at 6:30 p.m. in Rieth Recital Hall, and will feature students in the Beginning and Intermediate Suzuki classes and the Allegro Strings Ensemble.

The CSA Suzuki program, led by CSA Strings Director Dr. Rosalyn Troiano, was founded in the 1970s by Lon and Kathryn Sherer as part of the Goshen College Strings Preparatory Program, and has a long and rich tradition of offering excellent introductory and intermediate strings instruction in both private and group lesson settings. Each semester, Suzuki students take part in seven group lessons and 15 private lessons and have multiple performance opportunities at the GC Music Center and around the community. The CSA currently offers both a Beginning and Intermediate level Suzuki class for CSA strings students. Upon graduating from the Intermediate class, students are invited to join the Allegro Strings Ensemble, which includes students from around the community. All-in-all, the programs include students ranging from age 3 up to middle school!

All are welcome to attend the Suzuki / Allegro Play-In. Come join us on December 12 and see what the Suzuki program is all about!
