Traditional string lessons
Study violin, viola, cello, and bass via one-on-one instruction
In addition to its Suzuki String offerings for young beginning string players, the CSA also offers traditional private string lessons to students of all ages and abilities. Lessons are offered in violin, viola, cello, and bass.
Tuition and Registration
Private instruction is offered over the course of a 15-week semester. There are two semesters each academic year. Lessons are offered in 30 minute, 45 minute, and 60 minute sessions.
- For fifteen 30-minute lessons, tuition is $372 per semester.
- For fifteen 45-minute lessons, tuition is $558 per semester.
- For fifteen 60-minute lessons, tuition is $744 per semester.
Financial aid is available to families with need. Strong preference will be given to those who apply for scholarships by August 1, 2025; there is no guarantee for consideration of scholarship if applying after that date. Limited funds are available for new applicants for the Spring semester, and will be considered on a rolling basis.

Private lesson dates and times are arranged between family and teacher.
Community School of the Arts students and their immediate family members may attend many events at the Music Center for free that others pay admission to attend. Identify yourself or call the Goshen College Box Office to claim your free tickets.
