Guitar, Bass Guitar, and Ukulele Lessons
Learn guitar, bass, and ukulele style from classical to fingerstyle
The CSA offers guitar, bass guitar, and ukulele lessons to students of all ages, taught by instructors Rafael Chávez y Moreno (Goshen College graduate and current member of local Spanish rock band Lalo Cura), and Matthias Stegmann (Goshen College adjunct professor of guitar).
Tuition and Registration
Private instruction is offered over the course of a 15-week semester. There are two semesters each academic year. Guitar lessons are offered in 30 minute sessions only.
- For fifteen 30-minute lessons, tuition is $366.00 per semester.
Financial aid is available to families with need. Strong preference will be given to those who apply for scholarships by August 10, 2019; there is no guarantee for consideration of scholarship if applying after August 10. Limited funds are available for new scholarship applicants for the Spring semester, and will be considered on a rolling basis.
Private lesson dates and times are arranged between family and teacher.
Please note: The deadline for registering for lessons in fall semester 2020-21 is Friday, August 14, 2020. Registration after this date will result in a late fee. Most private lessons and group classes also begin the week of January 6, 2020.
Community School of the Arts students and their immediate family members may attend many events at the Music Center for free that others pay admission to attend.
